Our verdict

The ROG Xbox Ally X20 is the first Ally with OLED: a 7.4-inch 120Hz HDR panel, the same Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme / 24GB / 80Wh class as the $999 Ally X, TMR sticks, and a 756g 20th-anniversary chassis for $1,299.99. It launched October 15, 2026 and was still treated as sold out at Best Buy on November 2. Pay the $300 OLED premium if you can find retail stock; stay on Ally X if IPS at $999 is enough, or look at Atlas 8 if Arc G3 Extreme and 16:10 matter more than OLED.
