Atlas 8 is the 16:10 desktop-UI machine with two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a cheaper SSD you can swap. X20 is the OLED HDR machine with a terabyte already in the chassis and 54g less mass.
Who wins which job
Buy Atlas 8 if PC HUDs, maps, and Discord on a 16:10 panel matter, if you want two TB4 ports for glasses + charge or eGPU, or if Arc G3 Extreme / XeSS 3 is the GPU bet you already wanted versus Claw 8 EX money.
Buy X20 if OLED blacks and HDR are why you skipped Ally X, if 1TB included storage matters, or if you already live in Armoury Crate / Xbox full-screen UI.
Buy neither this week if both carts are empty. The $999 Ally X is the same Z2 Extreme silicon on IPS. Legion Go 2 is the 8.8-inch OLED detour. Steam Deck OLED is the SteamOS floor.
