The ROG Xbox Ally X20 is the first Ally with OLED. ASUS priced the standalone unit at $1,299.99 and launched it October 15, 2026: 7.4-inch 1920x1080 120Hz HDR OLED, Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, 24GB LPDDR5X-8000, 1TB, 80Wh, 756g, TMR sticks, and a translucent black/gold 20th-anniversary chassis (ASUS specs, ASUS product page, Best Buy). Windows Central reported it sold out at Best Buy and ASUS within days. Best Buy's Q&A was still asking for a restock on November 2.
That is $300 over the $999 ROG Xbox Ally X for OLED, TMR sticks, and the anniversary shell. Same Z2 Extreme. Same 24GB. Same 80Wh. The other $1,299 Windows launch this week is Acer's Predator Atlas 8. Split: Atlas 8 vs Ally X20. Rank both in the picker or compare.

Pay $1,299 if OLED and TMR sticks are why you skipped Ally X. Stay on Ally X if $999 IPS is enough and you do not want to wait on a restock. Do not pay eBay $1,799+; TrackaLacker had resale from about that floor in late October with no announced restock date.
Should you buy it?
Preorder or camp a restock if a 7.4-inch OLED Ally is the whole point and $1,299 is already in budget. Buy Ally X at $999 if you want the same silicon this week. Buy Atlas 8 at $1,299 if 16:10 Arc G3 Extreme beats OLED. Buy Legion Go 2 or Steam Deck OLED if you want a different OS bet.
